Mock Election Day for People with Disabilities

In October 2024, InControl partnered with the Hennepin County Elections Office to host a Mock Election Day designed to support voters with disabilities in a welcoming, non-partisan environment. The event gave participants the opportunity to practice voting in person, explore accessible voting machines, ask questions, and build confidence ahead of Election Day.

Held at the Southdale Library in Edina, the event reflected InControl’s commitment to civic inclusion and empowerment. By creating a space where individuals with disabilities could experience the voting process without pressure, this initiative helped remove barriers and reinforced that every voice deserves to be heard.

This event underscores InControl’s broader mission to advance access, confidence, and quality of life for adults with disabilities—both inside and outside the home.
